John Smith Road Landfill operates under a permit issued by the State of California for the disposal of municipal solid waste. We are a full service solid waste disposal company. John Smith Road Landfill in San Benito County has made a commitment to not only provide necessary services, but also to give back to the community we are fortunate to serve.

As part of our commitment we regularly donate volunteer hours and financial assistance to local charitable and civic organizations. We are proud to partner with these organizations with the common goal of making San Benito County a better place to live. Below is a list of organizations that we currently work with.

Report
The JSR Landfill hosts Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection events to allow San Benito County residents to lawfully dispose of household hazardous waste that is not accepted by the landfill.
There is no charge for dropping off HHW during a collection event.
HHW items are any unused or leftover portions of products containing toxic chemicals.
These products are often labeled with warnings of poison, danger, caution, warning, or other precautionary statements.
Any hazardous waste that you use in your home, yard, or garage, including automotive fluids (oil, gas, etc.), can be brought to HHW collection events.
